Educated in the UK (Trent Polytechnic), Russ has worked for a number of military and commercial approval test facilities.

Nine years with a major defense contractor UKAS accredited test facility evaluating tactical communication systems for the British Ministry of Defense (MOD). Fully Tempest trained at UK Govt. facilities, with extensive in-situ test experience all over Europe, Japan and the USA.

Nine years with a major UKAS accredited UK commercial test house, specializing in approval consultancy and in-situ assessment of large machinery. Appointed as a UK competent Body for the EU EMC Directive. Working all over Europe and Japan, assisting clients meet the requirements of EU Directives. Presented at numerous seminars in the UK and Japan.

Moved to the USA in June 2001 to work for a non-accredited test facility specializing in-situ assessment of large machinery. Built up a laboratory EMC test facility for smaller products.

Three years managing an A2LA accredited EMC test facility as the technical expert. Testing to US and worldwide military and commercial test standards.

Two years with a non-accredited test facility, specializing in in-situ EMC, Electrical Safety and Risk Assessment of large machinery.

Eight years owning/managing Assured CE Solutions LLC to assist clients with their Machinery Safety Requirements. Awarded ‘Certified Machinery Safety Expert’ a worldwide recognized certification through PILZ and TUV NORD. Awarded ‘Licensed Machinery Safety Specialist’ a recognized certification through ANSI B11.
